- What you make is yours.
- Be kind, keep personal information out of your projects, and don't use code to cause harm.
- Kids under 13 need a parent or teacher to set up their account.
- We're a small service doing our best. It's provided as-is.
Who can use Made in Class
Anyone can play as a guest. To have your own account you must be 13 or older, or have one made for you by a parent, guardian or teacher. Teachers who add students confirm they're allowed to by their school. Parents who add kids confirm they're their parent or guardian.
Your account
Keep your password or secret word to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Teachers and parents are responsible for the student accounts they create.
What you make is yours
You own the projects you create. So we can run the service, you let us store them and show them to the people you share them with, like your class, your family, or everyone if you make your portfolio public. When you publish a project, the people who can see it can also remix it into their own copy.
The starter projects in the Remix Library are free for anyone to use, change and share, in class or anywhere else.
Be a good classmate
- Be kind. No bullying, harassment, hate, or mean projects about real people.
- Keep it school-appropriate: no violence, adult content, or scary stuff made to upset people.
- Don't put personal information in projects: yours or anyone else's (real names, addresses, phone numbers, photos of people).
- Don't use code to cause harm: no hacking, stealing passwords, spamming, or slowing the site down for others.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, or hand in other people's work as your own.
Teachers and parents can remove student work in their classes. We can remove content, and pause or close accounts, that break these rules.
The service
We work hard to keep Made in Class running and your work safe, but it's provided “as is” and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep a copy of anything you can't afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or unexpected losses from using it.
Closing your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings. If we ever have to shut the service down, we'll give you advance notice so you can save your work.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site before it takes effect. Questions? Email hello@madeinclass.com.
