Publishing, portfolios & versions
Publishing gives your project its own link, puts it on your portfolio, and saves a version you can always go back to.
Publishing
- Press Publish (or Update site if it's been published before).
- In What's new?, write what you changed, like "Added a high score". This is optional, but future-you will thank you.
- Press Publish or Ctrl + Enter. You'll see ✓ Published v3.
Your project gets its own web address, and View live ↗ opens it. Changes you make after publishing aren't live until you publish again, so you can experiment without breaking the version people see.
Versions & history
Every publish is saved as a numbered version (v1, v2, v3…) with its date, time and your note. Press History in the editor to see the changelog.
- View opens that version's code and a working preview in a new tab.
- Restore (click twice to confirm) loads that version's code back into the editor. The live site doesn't change until you publish, and restoring a newer version undoes it.
People looking at your code can also browse the changelog and see how your project grew.
Your portfolio
Everything you've published appears on your portfolio page, at madeinclass.com/@your-school/your-name. My portfolio in the top bar takes you there.
Each project shows a live preview, its version and when it was last updated, and a </> Code button.
Who can see it

"Class only" means people you share a class (or family) with. Links to class-only projects only work for them, and a link someone shares expires after about 12 hours. Switch to Everyone if you want a link that works for anyone.
Remixing
On any published project's code page (</> Code), press Remix to make your own copy. Remixes remember where they came from ("remix of Snake by @maya"), and you can even remix an older version from its changelog.
Deleting a project
On My projects, press × next to a project, then Delete?. This deletes its code, every version and its live site. It can't be undone.
